"Ferrari's Ass is Mine"- Carroll Shelby
In May 1963, a single
meeting in Modena
made it all personal.
When Enzo Ferrari pulled out of a deal to sell Ferrari to Ford, the embers of past bruises, losses of a friend and a desire to win big on the track drove Shelby and Ford to build cars to beat Ferrari. For Carroll Shelby and Henry Ford II it was now very personal.
Here we are dedicated to Carroll Shelby and the memory of his involvement in motor racing from 1962-1967 with Ford Motor Company providing cars, engines and support. The site is managed by Archivea Inc. of Alpine, Wyoming. Richard Weedn LLC is long time licensees of Carroll Shelby since and The Ford Motor company since 2005. Since 1975 we have been long time fans who grew up in Southern California in this era and near where all of this magic was born. We have been blessed with having met and befriended many of the men in these photos along with hiers and modern day principal snad family members. It was a golden age in American motorsports. Long live Taco Tuesdays at AAR!
